For three decades, EUROGUSS has provided a comprehensive overview of developments and potential in die casting. Over this time, the trade fair has established itself as a leading international platform. In January 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the die casting industry will not only celebrate its 30th anniversary as a key industry gathering and source of inspiration – it will once again bring together experts, manufacturers, suppliers, customers and decision-makers from around the globe, highlighting the importance of this technology for industrial value creation far beyond the automotive sector.
“What began in 1996 with around 100 exhibitors in Sindelfingen is today an internationally established platform for innovation across the entire die-casting value chain,” says Christopher Boss, Executive Director of EUROGUSS. “On our 30th anniversary, we not only want to honor the past, but deliberately look ahead – with a clear commitment to the performance strength of our industry, even in turbulent economic times. Because tradition alone is not a license for the future.”
Well prepared for tomorrow: Die casting shows its strength
The figures from the last event speak for themselves: more than 14,300 trade visitors – almost half of them international – met 641 exhibitors from 33 countries at EUROGUSS 2024 across four fully booked exhibition halls in Nuremberg. In 2026, around 600 companies are expected to participate in a total of six halls for the first time. A look at the evolving visitor and exhibitor structure shows clearly that EUROGUSS has long since expanded beyond the automotive sector. Mechanical engineering, aerospace, energy technology, medical technology, lifestyle products such as e-bikes and a wide range of consumer goods demonstrate how diversified and future-oriented die casting has become and how important the technology is for society.
Marco Höfler, Managing Director of FISA Ultraschall GmbH, attended the very first event in 1996. He recalls the initial enthusiasm: “At the time, there was a real gold-rush feeling. We quickly realized that this new show struck a chord – for us and many others. The exchange was intense from the very beginning, and to this day EUROGUSS has a fixed place in our trade fair calendar.”
Space for innovation, exchange, and perspectives
EUROGUSS has consistently recorded very high satisfaction rates among both visitors and exhibitors, most recently around 90 percent. A major part of this success lies in the high-quality supporting program alongside the exhibition. The traditional Die Casting Day – to be held for the 25th time in 2026 – focuses on current materials, processes and applications. In the SpeakersCorner, research and practice meet to discuss topics such as decarbonization, digitalization and geopolitical challenges.
“Rising energy costs and increasing sustainability requirements are changing the conditions for many European companies,” says Björn Wollin, Managing Director and owner of Wollin GmbH, also an exhibitor since the first EUROGUSS. “The show offers the chance to discuss these developments openly, gain new perspectives and develop solutions together. At the same time, it is the ideal place for us to present our latest innovations and gather valuable feedback directly from the market.”
The stage is set for the future
EUROGUSS 2026 will once again put innovation center stage. The Rheocasting Pavilion will spotlight advanced die-casting technologies. The rheocasting process uses metals in a semi-solid state, enabling the production of components with higher strength, lower porosity and excellent surface quality.
Award-winning die casting remains an integral part of EUROGUSS: the European Die Casting Competition will again recognize outstanding aluminum, magnesium and zinc components in 2026 – for the first time in expanded categories developed together with the Zink Initiative and the Association of German Die Casters (VDD).
In addition, the EUROGUSS Talent Award will showcase forward-looking academic theses. Sought are ideas that demonstrate technological excellence, practical relevance and tangible added value for the die casting industry – whether in materials science, mechanical engineering, sustainability, digitalization or AI. The best submissions will be invited to the trade fair and honored there.
For the fourth time, the Executive Circle will take place in early July 2026. Decision-makers from leading companies throughout the die casting value chain will gather at a rotating European location – still to be announced – to discuss future challenges and opportunities. A format that is not only new to the trade fair industry, but has already earned high levels of recognition and appreciation among participants.
